Role Purpose

As part of the company’s growth strategy, a new position has arisen for a Business Development Manager who will assume overall responsibility for the direction, growth and development of the company’s brand and the product range throughout mainland UK. You will be required to develop a network of contacts to acquire new customers and new market opportunities by prospecting both bespoke and standard decorative lighting sales.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and generate new business opportunities within the Lighting sectors across the UK
  • Understand the requirements of the company’s target audience. Building relationships with new clients, gauging their requirements, negotiating prices, and developing proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, and sales, to ensure seamless implementation and delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Monitor industry developments and stay updated on market trends that could impact our business.
  • Pitching of company’s products to new and existing clients
  • Think strategically - ability to see the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop, improve and grow the revenue and brand recognition of the brand throughout the UK market.
  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to the management team, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Regularly attend industry events across the UK.
  • Meet with prospective clients as required in their offices in the UK (primarily London) Therefore candidates based within the UK have a distinct advantage.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3 years B2B sales experience within the Ireland/UK manufacturing market - Advantage but not necessary.
  • Self-motivated and target-orientated, with a strong drive for results and a relentless focus on achieving sales goals.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and close deals.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other sales productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent computer literacy skills to include MS Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in business Administration, Marketing or related field (distinct advantage)

What you get in return:

  • Administrative support will be given in the form of access to the online web portal for creating quotes, in addition to support from the UK sales manager based in Mullan for processing orders.
  • Working samples, catalogues, colour samples will be provided by Mullan as required.
  • On site training will be provided for you in Mullan for the initial 2 weeks of the role and ad hoc as required thereafter.
  • Mullan will retain and manage existing clients, except in exceptional circumstances whereby it is believed the relationship would be better served by the UK BDM.

Video and Social Media Marketing Assistant

Role Requirements
The role requires diverse but complementing skills with a particular focus on video and social media. The role is primarily for Mullan Lighting but may also expand into other brands over time (we're in the process of launching a new jewellery brand, for example).

Video

  • Feature in and produce marketing videos, product demonstration videos and live / pre-recorded video for social media events to represent the brand.
  • Become a "brand ambassador" for the company.
  • Plan, shoot and edit manufacturing, promotional and instructional videos as required for use on social media (primarily Instagram Reels and TikTok), in company presentations and at international trade shows.
  • On occasion, shoot completed projects on location throughout Ireland (restaurants, hotels, pubs, etc).
  • Utilise Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and CapCut to edit video.

Marketing and Social Media

  • Manage and respond to internal and external marketing requests.
  • Comply with all internal and external administration processes.
  • Assist in scheduling social media posts on a regular basis and engage on our social platforms.
  • Content writing for company blog, website and social media platforms, in addition to print material on occasion.

Skills / Knowledge Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills / knowledge;

  • Proven ability in video capturing and editing (send us a link to your portfolio if you have one).
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of social media platforms and editing video on these platforms in particular.
  • Be confident in appearing in front of the camera as well as communicating with others in the wider team and capturing video content.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Be creative and willing to suggest new ideas.
  • Be very organised and have the ability to establish and follow processes.
  • Excellent command of the English language.

Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content, including text, image, and video posts, to maintain a consistent brand presence.
  • Monitor social media trends, track metrics, and provide insights to refine strategies and optimize performance.
  • Analyse marketing and sales data to assess campaign effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.

Representing both teams at daily production meetings in addition to management meetings.

We are seeking a general Maintenance assistant to join the company.

The Role

Based in our HQ in Mullan village, Monaghan, this role working in our maintenance team undertaking groundworks, machinery installation, repairs and upgrades, factory upkeep and some construction work.

No experience necessary, however candidates with previous experience in similar roles or electrical experience would have a distinct advantage.

This role does involve some heavy lifting and requires the candidate to be physically fit and able to work on their feet for the full shift period

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: €12.00-€14.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 39 per week
