Video and Social Media Marketing Assistant

Mullan Lighting designs and manufactures a wide range of bespoke and custom decorative light fixtures for the commercial, hospitality, retail and residential sectors. We are a young and dynamic company that is continually expanding. We welcome dynamic and enthusiastic members to our team.

Role Requirements
The role requires diverse but complementing skills with a particular focus on video and social media. The role is primarily for Mullan Lighting but may also expand into other brands over time (we're in the process of launching a new jewellery brand, for example).

Video

  • Feature in and produce marketing videos, product demonstration videos and live / pre-recorded video for social media events to represent the brand.
  • Become a "brand ambassador" for the company.
  • Plan, shoot and edit manufacturing, promotional and instructional videos as required for use on social media (primarily Instagram Reels and TikTok), in company presentations and at international trade shows.
  • On occasion, shoot completed projects on location throughout Ireland (restaurants, hotels, pubs, etc).
  • Utilise Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and CapCut to edit video.

Marketing and Social Media

  • Manage and respond to internal and external marketing requests.
  • Comply with all internal and external administration processes.
  • Assist in scheduling social media posts on a regular basis and engage on our social platforms.
  • Content writing for company blog, website and social media platforms, in addition to print material on occasion.

Skills / Knowledge Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills / knowledge;

  • Proven ability in video capturing and editing (send us a link to your portfolio if you have one).
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of social media platforms and editing video on these platforms in particular.
  • Be confident in appearing in front of the camera as well as communicating with others in the wider team and capturing video content.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough attention to detail.
  • Be creative and willing to suggest new ideas.
  • Be very organised and have the ability to establish and follow processes.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Good writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet targets.
  • Customer focused, willing to excel in customer service.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite.
  • Fast learner and willingness to adapt.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make decisions and work under their own initiative.

The following qualities are desirable but not necessary as on the job training can be provided;

  • Knowledge of Excel formulas.
  • SEO experience.
  • Previous experience in managing and creating content for social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in creating and managing ads on social media platforms.
  • Additional language skills are an advantage but not necessary.

Marketing Executive

Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content, including text, image, and video posts, to maintain a consistent brand presence.
  • Monitor social media trends, track metrics, and provide insights to refine strategies and optimize performance.
  • Analyse marketing and sales data to assess campaign effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Prepare regular reports on social media and sales performance, presenting insights to the management team.

Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
  • Assist in creating marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, advertisements, and other collateral.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and creative teams to ensure alignment and consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative marketing and sales ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management, with a strong understanding of various platforms and their respective best practices.
  • Previous experience 1-2 years in sales, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and basic graphic design software is a plus.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Own transport is essential.

Social Media Content Creator

Role Overview: As a Social Media Content Creator, you will be responsible for developing, and managing content across various platforms- such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Youtube.

Content Creation and Curation:

  • Develop and execute a complete social media content strategy in alignment with brand goals
  • Design and produce visual and written content, including images, videos, graphics, and captions, tailored for each platform.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and style across all content, adhering to established guidelines.

Platform Management:

  • Manage and schedule content across multiple social media platforms, ensuring consistent posting and engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, user interactions, and opportunities for engagement.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely, authentic, and engaging manner.

Content Strategy Development:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging digital marketing practices to inform content strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather insights, product information, and brand messaging for content development.

Innovation and Creativity:
