Instagram Charity Auction: Here’s What You Need to Know
This year, we are aiming to raise some Christmas cheer for two deserving Irish charities. We hope to raise funds for Errigal Truagh Special Needs and Barretstown Children’s Charity through an Instagram Auction.
The auction will see some beautiful lightings designs on display with opening bids starting at up to 80% less than the RRP. It is a great opportunity to grab yourself a true bargain and help us donate to charity in the process!

We have highlighted below the Instagram auction rules. Please take the time to read through these carefully if you plan on bidding and taking part.
Auction Rules & Bidding Instructions
1. Currency and Method of Payment
All bids and payments are reflected in Euro.
Winners will be contacted directly by the Mullan Lighting Instagram page confirming their final bid and will be asked for an email address.
The winner will then receive an invoice from a member of the Mullan Lighting sales team and will be given instructions on how to make payment. Delivery will also be arranged at this point. Delivery may be subject to charge dependant on location.
The winner will have 24 hours from the time the invoice is issued to make payment. Should the winner not pay on time, the next highest bidder will be approached.
2. Opening Bid
An opening bid will be set by Mullan Lighting highlighting the lowest value the product can sell for. This will be up to 80% less than the RRP and will be inclusive of VAT.
3. Minimum Bid Increment
A minimum bid increment of €10 will apply.
Participants must increase the current standing bid by €10 in order to confirm a new bid price.

4. Bid Submissions
Submissions for a bid MUST be issued via comment on the auction items grid post on the Mullan Lighting Instagram page.
Bids will not be accepted via DM or email.
Each new bid must be submitted as a NEW comment. Do not reply to previous bids, they will not be counted.
5. Close of Auction
Bidding closes at 10pm GMT sharp on November 30, 2020.
No bids will be accepted after 10.00 PM. Final highest bid submitted is deemed the winner.

About the Charities
Errigal Truagh Special Needs
Errigal Truagh Special Needs was founded in 2001 after a group of parents and family members of adults with physical & intellectual disabilities from the parish of Truagh, Co. Monaghan came together to create a social club for people with special needs.
Since their founding they developed their own purpose-built building that offers a daily respite service for their adult members. It now staffs several full-time employees, hosts a multi-sensory room and is complete with a transportation service for members to and from the day centre.
Daily activities include:
- Numeracy & Literacy
- Computers
- Arts and Crafts
- Music and Drama
- Physical Exercise.
- Horticulture
- Special Olympics
- Road Bowling
- Swimming
- Going out for lunch once a week.
- Pottery
- Day Trips
The ethos of their centre is to provide a home from home setting where they nurture the ability, not the disability of their service members.
Barretstown Children’s Charity
Barretstown offers free, specially designed camps and programmes for children and their families living with a serious illness – supported behind the scenes by 24 hours on site medical and nursing care.
All of the children and families come to Barretstown free of charge. Everything, including accommodation, food and medical assistance are provided at no cost to the family.
Barretstown is recognised as a centre of excellence in childhood cancer care and other serious illnesses.
Their mission is to rebuild the lives of children affected by serious illness, and their families, through a life changing Therapeutic Recreation programme in a safe, fun, and supportive environment.
