Light Steel Welder

We are seeking general welding and fabrication staff to join the company.

About the Role

The role will require the candidate to undertake general light gauge steel welding including:

  • Cutting
  • Threading
  • Bending
  • Folding
  • Brazing
  • Welding
  • Polishing
  • Buffing

Candidates with previous welding experience would have a distinct advantage.

This role does involve some heavy lifting and requires the candidate to be physically fit and able to work on their feet for the full shift period.

Product Design Engineer

Negotiable

As part of on-going development plans the company now wishes to appoint a Product Design Engineer to join our Design team.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake research and come up with new ideas for products and the systems used to create them. This will be a solutions based role, whereby you solve problems through sourcing new materials and suppliers while investigating new manufacturing process’. Working closely with the Manufacturing and Sales team you will introduce new designs while also prototyping bespoke designs for existing customers.

Responsibilities

  • Research, design and create new products.
  • Develop virtual models of different designs using computer software.
  • Find out the manufacturing requirements by examining materials and production costs.
  • Present designs and perform demonstrations of product prototypes for the approval of clients / internal departments.
  • Evaluate the function, safety and appearance of products to ensure they have a practical design.
  • Develop prototypes for clients with bespoke design requirements
  • Attend relevant Trade events for both product sourcing and to represent the company at while exhibiting at such events.

  • Experience with mechanical design work and knowledge in manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings, sketches etc
  • Knowledge and experience with utilisation of 3-D Modelling Software
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel
  • Good sketching and concept generation skills
  • Ability to understand complex mathematical relationships that underpin mechanical analysis
  • Project pricing / estimating

Desirable Criteria.

  • Lighting or similar manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of lighting manufacturing regulations
  • Experience in use of lean tools to help develop new processes, layouts and flow
  • MRP/ERP experience

Video and Social Media Marketing Assistant

Role Requirements

The role requires diverse but complementing skills with a particular focus on video and social media.

Video

  • Feature in and produce marketing videos, product demonstration videos and live / pre-recorded video for social media events to represent the brand.
  • Plan, shoot and edit manufacturing, promotional and instructional videos as required for use on social media (primarily Instagram and TikTok), in company presentations and at international trade shows.
  • On occasion, shoot completed projects on location throughout Ireland (restaurants, hotels, pubs, etc).
  • Utilise Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to edit video.

Marketing and Social Media

  • Manage and respond to internal and external marketing requests.
  • Comply with all internal and external administration processes.
  • Assist in scheduling social media posts on a regular basis and engage on our social platforms.
  • Content writing for company blog, website and social media platforms, in addition to print material on occasion.

Skills / Knowledge Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills / knowledge;

  • Proven ability in video capturing and editing (send us a link to your portfolio if you have one).
  • Will have a thorough knowledge of social media platforms and editing video on these platforms in particular.

Project managing the order from concept to completion throughout the production cycle.
