68 and Boston is a wine and cocktail lounge nestled on Greek Street in the heart of Soho. The bar showcases an impressive selection of seasonal wines from the finest vineyards all over the world.
As the name suggests, it has been split into two spaces: wine bar 68 on the ground floor and cocktail bar Boston up a narrow staircase on the first floor. Working with hospitality specialist Kai Design, they have refurbished throughout, taking inspiration from the nostalgia of post-war Britain and 1950s Soho and the romance of Woody Allen’s time-travelling film Midnight in Paris.
68 sits on the ground floor, offering wine, sandwiches and nibbles all day long, while Boston is a late night cocktail lounge hidden at the top of a rather non-descript staircase rising from the entrance. Of the two bars, 68 is undeniably the centrepiece and the one most likely to make a mark on Soho’s nightlife and Boston boasts a more consistent visual identity, a relaxed, old-fashioned cocktail bar dressed in navy and mahogany.
Taken as a whole, the atmosphere is warm and friendly, and our contemporary light fittings as Amias elegant wall light, Stanley Holophane globe pendant, Riad globe pendant light, Cairo three-arm contemporary chandelier and others designs, gives a mid-century design to this lighting design project.
Both 68 and Boston brings a welcome new destination to Soho for exploring unusual and exciting wines and cocktails.
