Weee Recycling

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive 2012/19/EU, together with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, became European law in February 2003. It established collection schemes that allow consumers to return waste electrical and electronic equipment free of charge, helping to increase the responsible recycling of products such as light fittings.

You can return WEEE to our factory in Mullan Village on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. WEEE and waste batteries can also be taken to your local civic amenity site free of charge. You can find a list of civic amenity sites here. Never dispose of WEEE, batteries or light bulbs in household bins.

The price of our light fittings includes a contribution towards an Environmental Management Charge (EMC), which supports the responsible collection and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
