Le Refuge de Solaise is a hotel located in spectacular mountainous surroundings. Nestled near the top of Solaise mountain in the French Alps, Le Refuge de Solaise sits at an altitude of 2,551 metres. Our vintage lights have been used throughout the interior to help create a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Positioned conveniently at the top of Solaise and Solaise Express ski lifts - that both originate from the nearby town of Val d'Isere - Le Refuge de Solaise offers respite to skiers by way of warm food and refreshing drinks, or an overnight stay for those that wish to spend the night in exceptional surroundings.

Le Refuge de Solaise is open during the winter season from December to April inclusive.

We worked with ACTIMA-COVAREL and interior designer Bérénice Grégoire to manufacture and supply vintage lights to this beautiful Alpine hotel.

Milk Bottle pendant lights from Mullan Lighting

ACTIMA and Bérénice have created a warm and comfortable setting for guests to rest and recuperate after a day on the slopes. The abundant use of wood, check carpet, soft seating and scatter cushions on bench seating helps achieve a comfortable and homely feeling. The feeling of comfort is appreciated all the more when contrasted with the harsh beauty and rugged landscape of the French Alps that can be seen through large floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the restaurant.

Lome vintage pendants with exposed Edison bulbs

The warm hue of our exposed LED Edison bulbs complement the warm tones and hues from the aged timber and soft coverings found in the restaurant’s interior. Our vintage Jam Jar and Milk Bottle pendants are suspending from exposed oak beams and rough lime-plastered roofs, as are our vintage Lome pendants and Lome chandelier.
