Brass kitchen lighting is making a comeback after a hiatus of almost three decades. While mid-century lighting has been prevalent in homes for years now it's only now emerging as a trend in the most important room in the house; the kitchen. Kitchen lighting is hard to get right. The kitchen today is as much an area where people congregate as it is about food preparation. In that regard kitchen lighting must be functional and task-orientated, as well as ambient and friendly. 
Our friends at Kingston Lafferty Design have created something special at this private residence in Dublin, Ireland. They've established a focal point above the quartz kitchen island using a trio of our Elegance brass pendants. The brass pendants are dimmable and provide both ambient and functional lighting above the recessed cooking hob. Natural light enters the kitchen through a floor-to-ceiling height window to the left. This light is dispersed throughout the kitchen by a large gold mirror above the Belfast ceramic sink and mirrored panels above the hanging cabinets and under the kitchen island.

White subway tiles that you might expect in a modern grey kitchen have been sacrificed for a more natural reclaimed brick splashback. Brass faucets and cabinet knobs complement the grey cabinets and light quartz worktop, as well as the navy blue full-height storage units just visible to the right.

Recessed, hidden drawer pulls ensure that the lower cabinets are clean and streamlined.
